"We have to rebuild local news...", as in gov't involvement? It'll follow MSM bias in record time.

It already does.

Local news? Most big city news has been super liberal for years. What's to rebuild? Besides, the main reason I ever watched in the first place was for the weather report. Weather apps and social media for other news makes local news irrelevant. Yang seems out of touch on this.

Agreed. I haven’t watched local news/weather/sports in years. Cable and online is the way to go.

I think Yang makes sense sometimes. But other times like this I don’t get. I do hate MSNBC,CNN, Etc. However, there is not going to be a day when I want my tax dollars invested in journalism local or National. Sink or swim on your own.

He’s right. Most people (both left and right) get their “news” filtered to support what they believe. And all y’all hating on it, name one of your city council members. Or even your mayor. I’ll wait while you google.

True shit!

The people shouldn’t trust their local news any more than the national networks... in the DC/VA/MD area, the negative phrasing and slant is still there in their reporting on anything related to President Trump... sadly!

My town of 2k has a newspaper. They aren’t big media corporations. I actually know the guy who writes and edits most of it. That’s what Yang is talking about.
