A lifetime ban is only as good as the character of the people running baseball. If they're given a pass to people who stole the World Series out right. Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

It’s part of a package of calling people “irredeemable”. Nobody is beyond redemption and all have sinned.

So, what about the Astros and the Red Socks, who did MUCH WORSE
@leslievb3. What part of they have destroyed trust in baseball and basically got away with it? Pete Rose has a right to fight his banishment on that basis. Had they been fair in punishment, yep. But they weren't. -
grew up watching Pete Rose, he signed away his rights by agreeing to a lifetime ban. Fair or not he didn't fight he willingly went along.

Okay, but explain why he agreed to a lifetime ban? he did this not me. Why did he so quickly and readily agree? He was no saint...amazing ballplayer but he gave away his rights.

denying a man his hard earned accomplishments is a disgrace. Fine, deny him from working in the league for the rest of his life. But to keep him from what he alone worked for is pathetic.
