There is a sign in every MLB clubhouse telling you that if you bet on baseball you’ll be banned for life. Rose chose to do it anyway. I’d put him in the Hall, but baseball isn’t wrong for enforcing a rule that they’ve had since 1919.

There was also a ban on steroids but they didn't care, TV ratings were through the roof. He bet on his own team to win. Who cares.

Pete didn't bet AGAINST HIS TEAM. He always bet that they'd win. Therefore he always played to win.

Any hall of fame should have the best. The MLB HoF w/o Pete is like The Rock&Roll HoF w/o The Beatles - meaningless. Interesting that MLB now work$ with Fanduel, MGM Casinos and Draftking. If Pete had voted for his team to lose, even I would despise him. He didn't.
