My mother has the same condition. She can hear a whisper across a quiet room, but she can't differentiate my voice in a crowded hall if I'm standing right next to her. Sound just mashes together.

I am deaf in one ear and hear perfectly with the other, but a noisy room is the worst, can hardly hear anything but noise.

Worried that Rush is on his last leg. Was supposed to get the medal of freedom in a few months and it happened today. It must be really moving fast, as in a few weeks before he goes.

Unfortunately that’s what it sounds like to me, that he wouldn’t be around in a couple months or at least be able to travel so they did it tonight, with millions watching. I tore me up to see him in a wheelchair and he looks old and not how he looked a year ago.

My husband is in hearing industry, Rush cannot hear the way we can. He doesn't do social media. People would know that if they listened to him. His voice even changed after

Yeah, but I don't know what that has to do with her tweet. Maybe I'm being dense, had too much Glenfiddich, or it's past my bedtime.

Agree, a loud crowded area is difficult for people with any hearing impediment.
