Watching everyone’s reaction to actual Chinese cuisine is amazing Yes the restaurants here lied to you! In China it’s almost nothing like that

Exactly true! Hot Pot in Shichuan is insanely good. Doesn't remotely resemble US-style cheap, greasy Chinese food in any way. Also, Guongdong has incredible seafood! Much prefer Taiwan though

Sesame chicken and house fried rice never gave anyone a mystery illness. Sometimes, from lesser establishments, it will give you an illness, but you'll recognize ptomaine for what it is, at least. 🍚🍛🍜😷☣😫

I worked with those from China, it depends on what region the exotic items they eat. In his region they ate rats. So yes these reports are true about eating the things they do. No it’s not in backwoods someplace either. Some reports are very disturbing.

I'm still traumatized from an "actual" Chinese meal over 20 years ago.

KFC and Macdonald taste much more delicious here than other foreign countries. Strange..... No intention to upset anyone though.

On a trip to China I ate at the original Peking Duck restaurant - nothing like anything I ever ate. The highlight of the meal was when they served duck soup as a last course and as the honored guest I got the duck’s decapitated head in mine including eyeballs. Wild
