Go back through the tit-for-tats far enough and the entire 1979 revolution was in part inspired by prior US/UK meddling in Iranhttps://twitter.com/AP4Liberty/status/1213602452617879552 …

Why are people pretending that the protests at the embassy occurred in a vacuum when in fact they were a response to a separate US attack?

And let's not forget what started all that - we tossed an elected government because it expropriated a BRITISH oil company's assets there. The British were too pussified to do it themselves.

Partly, and mostly, inspired by the KGB funding and orchestration during the weakness of the Carter Cold War years. In a just world, PERSIA should return to pre-1935 and be given back control of their culture, heritage and destiny. What happened in 1935 you ask?

Persia was changed to the name - Iran - and developed deep ties to Hitler’s Germany. Iran means - “Land of Aryans.” Since 1935, Nazi Germany, Western Superpowers, and after ‘79, Russia, the Persian people have been a tool used in global power struggles. Free the Persians.

This is a common libertarian rationalization for Iran behaving machiavellian and the US defensive, and advocating a position of being anti-war.
