Wow...NO. The early Catholic church didnt even want "normal people" to have access to the Bible & said the church was "the" authority. Luther managed to open some eyes. God/Jesus never said we need "go-betweens" (priests/Pope) and "rituals/Icons/Hail Mary's" to speak to Him!
