I think calling the cartels a terrorist organization is like calling them a cartel. It doesnt change Mexican laws or structure or anything. It does changes laws available to us to deal w/them in our own country. Beyond that, build the wall. Protect our borders.

Well, I guess it's time to change your name to "White Flag Poso" and see what terms the cartels are looking to dictate for our surrender. The Republic had a good run, and let's not forget that they are an inexhaustible army of atomic supermen with freeway onramps for arms.

Of course, I engage in some mild hyperbole here, but this is a peculiarly defeatist-sounding strain.

Police Departments in big cities will have a lot of work to do. Unfortunately gun laws are too tight in big cities.

I don't think this is about physically invading Mexico to make War on the Cartels More like giving the DHS the ability to engage with weapons when they see armed Cartel members on the Border At the moment (iirc) they can't fire at them across the Border Right Jack?

Eh, if they do they do..I think they are smarter than to poke the bear. These cartels will continue to terrorize on both sides of the border, Mexico is incapable of dealing with them even militarily. They pose an existential threat to American citizens.
