Try this out for size. 6 of us splitting a Dime a bale of hay in the hay fields. And it was not unusual to make as much as $150.00 a week at age 14 during the long summer days. Later making $1.50 an hour working before and after school in a local dairy.

We got paid $0.25 per load. Picking rock on the farm. Also hoed sugar beets by hand with migrants. $0.25 pe row. One mile long rows.

Not in America, but in Ukraine I earned $175 a month as a Physician Assistant which was my first job in 2008. 24 hour shifts every other day. So around $0.50 an hour. Will be a little better when I finish the PA program here i think
