Cause it shows a “POC” or whatever defeating his demons with help from his community and makes epidemic look like mental health issue instead of gun control issue. Media was hoping for white shooter / mass casualty situation.

Because it spreads the narrative contrary to CNN’s beliefs that all school shooter are ruthless maniacs with a vendetta against society, and not just children who need some compassion in their lives. Plus he’s not white.
