So being convicted and removed isn't a disqualifying outcome? I've never heard that. Doesn't mean it's not so, but I was under the impression that once you remove a sitting President (ie. he's convicted and removed) he is no longer eligible to be President.

Nope. Everyone can be POTUS if: Over 35 year old - check. Natural Born Citizen - check. Not from the same state as Vice President - check. 270 electoral votes - check. Const. is pretty clear, there's no new requirements you can add. 1/
