At first we all became one and took the fight to those that attacked us. Then people forgot what happened and who did it. They stopped caring and started hating being American because we were in a war against terrorism. We allowed the refugees to come here and never assimilate.

I was in college, my dad called me the night before to tell me he was going on a business trip to Delaware. He worked in Tower 1. It forever made me a more grateful person.

Will Schools across America have a Moment of silence? Will Teachers spend ONE DAY teaching of the Heroes who rushed in? Will the Students and Future leaders learn what happened in a Hayfield in Pennsylvania that morning? The Soldiers and 9/11 Families deserve more.

It was like the Pearl Harbor attack for our generation. About half of the men in my History class literally signed up to join the forces when the Marines showed up recruiting a few weeks after. It was a very surreal experience

This thread has taught me that a lot of millennials don't know what happened before the 90's . . .

9/11 indirectly led to an extreme uptick in skepticism among millennials like me. We watched our government via media mouthpieces use the tragedy to justify launching all sorts of global intervention campaigns. Millennials on both sides of the aisle saw this and said no.
