Also, even if the actors were too old to play the parts. Animate them into films. We could have had Shadows of the Empire (AN ANIMATED STAR WARS STORY) with the original SW cast reprising their roles as voice actors R.I.P Carrie Fischer, so sorry for missed opportunities

Because Star Wars appeals to an older crowd. The first movie came out in ‘77 IIRC - kids don’t want to see something that’s ancient history to them.
