You’re absolutely correct, while I think he should have politely disregarded so called hurt feelings in his flock and left it as it was, he chose to address those feelings and appropriately so, he wasn’t apologizing for praying, he making it clear it wasn’t an endorsement.

Meh, it's not so bad if you read the whole article. He is sorry that the fake Christians who worship leftism and not God were mad at him. But he didn't really apologize for praying. It is still a depressing sign of the times. These pastors aren't leaders anymore.
