We have spent over $2.4 Trillion in the Middle East in the 18 years since 9/11 and sacrificed 6,950 American heroes Has the threat of radical Islam gone down in that time? Is America now safe from all transnational threats?https://twitter.com/BobbyM62/status/1133389249083052033 …

So would you agree that our continued presence in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, the Horn of Africa, etc. is a drain on our resources and a sacrifice of our heroes?

No. Then again that really wasn't the purpose right? But poppy production in Afghanistan has went up 20x! And it's NEVER addressed in opioid discussions.

Jack the question you need to ask is how much of that #US tax money was used to arm #terrorists !

The deep state government funded terrorist ops? We will never know how many *other* pallets of cash or where/who they were sent to. Shame.

I'm still not sure where I stand on this. I don't like all the resources being spent over there yet I feel like we need to have a presence there to disrupt threats and keep evil at bay, just don't know if it's worth it. Probably not

Seems like what we are doing currently is just not working... Maybe if we didn't destabilize the entire region.

The threat from "radical Islam" will unfortunately never go away and I fear there is little we can do about it. Is "America safe from all transnational threats? No. I live near a port; every time I look at those unloaded containers it scares me about what might be hidden.
