Why aren't we tapping into Alaska? I've seen reported that there are enough rare earth/precious metal resources there to eliminate our national debt, if we had infrastructure to move it. I don't understand why we aren't making use of the resources we have right here in the USA.

I was under the impression the problem was with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as the by products of rare earth mineral refining fall under their purview.

Propaganda or no, the solution cannot be known until regional stability is established. If each national were given a share of the commercial mineral rights to keep sell or trade, two problems could be simultaneously addressed. There is value in peace.
