Correct. Though it is very odd to see so many non-interventionists supporting Maduro. What is happening in Venezuela (the people themselves overthrowing a corrupt and evil regime) is precisely what we non-interventionists should support. They are handling their own mess.

This is Webster's: "the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group." Google: "a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government." None of that is happening. Look again at the armored vehicles running over unarmed demonstrators.

They’ll be armed soon enough...

It is not a Coup. By Venezuela’s Constitution Guiardo is the Legitimate Interim President. MADURO’s regime is illegal, illegitimate. By their constitution.

I've hit the ball back &forth on this one, as well--but BOTH points can be true in this case. Jack's: the 'global' definition of a governmental overthrow, Mary's: the more precise definition, as such by their constitution. Either way, Maduro's gotta go. Might just be semantics.

Wouldn't it technically be a counter counter-coup?
