Is it OK if I have no clue what this is all about?

who do I see defending the mary sue moment, Ben Shapiro. Figures. Never go against Jack when it comes to GOT.

1. They built up the "Kill the Night King FTW" strategy over several episodes. 2. Arya isn't at all in the same league as Rey as far as Mary Sue characters go. 3. Arya was actually caught mid-air. Quick skills and a bit of luck and BAM! 4. The Night King was distracted.
-
On balance, a good (if not predictable) ending. Anyone who couldn't see as Arya disappeared with 30 minutes to go that she would kill the Night King wasn't paying attention. I disagree that it is a slam dunk Mary Sue moment.

They're right. It's not a Mary Sue or a Barbara Cat, it's just a tight budget issue.

i mean, literally anyone could defeat the undead army with one blow. it's the "hive queen" trope, common in fantasy and science fiction.
