Learn the definition of a word or phrase before you use it please. "a type of female character who is depicted as unrealistically lacking in flaws or weaknesses." That is not what Arya is. She has loads of weaknesses and character flaws.

Exactly! If she lacked any character flaws, she'd be able to kill all of the Night King's army, while wearing a ballgown, and then suddenly be able to fly down on a dragon and kill Cersei and be named Queen right there and then.

I don't think that's an accurate characterization of Arya. She's been training for 6 seasons to be a killer. Additionally, if Beric Dondarrion and Sandor Clegane had not intervened, she'd have been dead in last night's episode.

There are entire seasons where she trains as an assassin with basically multiple teachers including Forel, the Hound, and Jaqen.

        2. No, really, this whole thing is, boiled down, "Oh my god the order of the universe is crumbling cause Arya did something 97% of the male protagonists I like would do! It's not valid unless the hero is some bald white alcoholic who's complaining about his marriage 24/7"

Well, guess we should all ignore the 6 seasons of her being trained as an assassin. It's the same with Rey & Luke in Star Wars: Luke can train a bit & do incredible things but Rey can't cause she's not accepting "Gods plan" for her to be a supporting, knitting, potential-mom

Rey is a Mary Sue. Luke trained for weeks and got his butt handed to him. Trained years more and only best Vader by tapping into the darkside. He was no match for The Senate.

Two things are true: 1. Arya is not a Mary Sue. D&D set this up nicely over the course of 7 seasons. 2. There is near unanimity on point #1. A cursory glance shows a 90/10 split in favor of this position (conservatively). A few randos on Twitter do not constitute a quorum.

Not really. I was thinking about who would reach and kill the Night King a few months ago, and she popped up, in my mind, as the deadliest character on the show. Though I also figured that one of the mains (likely Snow) would fall during the fight.
