She was literally a character from the beginning. Her skillset was developed for six seasons. She was learning to be sneaky as a little girl chasing cats in Winterfell. It's been telegraphed forever. Also, a Mary Sue is a term for a FAN FICTION Original Character. She's Canon.

They’ve been dropping hints and preparing this for 7 seasons, you’re lost on this one

She....IS the established protagonist. If we're being honest, the night king is the Mary Sue. Just this overpowered, unexplained creature that wants to kill everything for some reason that didn't even make a debut until halfway through the series.

#Arya’s role in The Battle of Winterfell was planned for 2 years, by the writers. Melessandrie even prophesied it. Arya lost herself, & reclaimed herself, all while being trained to kill people. She killed The Freys. Arya is, in no way, a Mary Sue.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I don't know about you, but in the show I've been watching Arya Stark is an established protagonist. In fact, for some of us she has been one of the main heroes of the show for many seasons.
