We used to go to Baltimore often. So much to do! Now we avoid it at all costs. I know parents who aren’t allowing their kids to attend U of M Baltimore campus, or John’s Hopkins because of the violence going on. Really sad.

My youngest Son is 18. When he was 2 up until he was around 11, we spent weekends there, going to the Aquarium, The Market,ESPN end zone, Orioles games, the Maryland zoo,and spend the 4th of July there. Last 4th we spent there, a man was stabbed, 10 yards from me.

Wow, now I can tell people I was born in the "Triangle of Death". Of course, I'm so old that it was a lovely city when I was a child. Now, not so much. A crying shame.

Watch the Wire. Written by a former cop and Baltimore Sun writer. I once asked Ed Norris who I knew via common friends at the time how real this show/depiction was and he said it’s spot on accurate. The wire needs to come back and cover the mayoral stuff, riots...it never ends.
