You have it wrong, sarcasm is love disguised as hostility. That you know it means I’m joking, means you know we agree it’s absurd.

That advice is sound only if you want to live a life of misery and anger. Develop a sense of humor and enjoy your life Jack. In other words, you're wrong, and there's nothing sarcastic about that.

100% My husband and I made the decision to eliminate sarcasm from our relationship and my only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. Honor and sarcasm cannot coexist.

Congrats! Hubs & I just passed 17 years. Sheesh, if we didn't have our sarcastic senses of humor, trolling one another constantly... we wouldn't have ever survived! We've been through a lot of crappy things & have fought many times...somehow against all odds, stayed together.

The occasional sarcastic comment can be funny. But I grew up in a house where sarcastic “humor” was pervasive. Everyone was always ready with a zinger, and always on guard for the “joke” directed at you. 1) Its not a relaxing place to be. 2) It becomes a difficult habit to break.
