The bottom line? Star Wars movies will not be the profit engine for Disney they thought they would. A lot of this is also due to oversaturation of the market and increased competition for eyeballs They will keep making movies for the super fans, and they will do ok but thats it

If they had any cool characters kids would buy them I have a 6 yo and he digs Star Wars even though he has never watched the movies, we just read SW stuff(5 minute SW is awesome) but there are characters that are interesting visually or storyline..Get to know the 5 minute books.

Agree with this, but the business model that is destroying the movie industry are the outrageous salaries they’re paying the stars and writers. They’re cutting corners because they can no longer afford to buy the rights of new material, and instead rehash the old storylines.
