Zack Snyder is wrong.
Since Batman is a completely fictional character and his world is a construct created by a writer who is trying to present Batman as a hero, there is no reason to present murder as a heroic act. Batman doesn't kill. He finds another way.

I don't like his movies either. This is the problem with translating DC's characters to the screen, to stark reality. They lose their luster when you force them to make decisions that people in their positions would have to make. They're supposed to be symbols of benevolence.

If Batman kills, what's the difference between Bruce Wayne, and Frank Castle? Guns. Their motivations mirror each other, their tactics then mirror each other, their attitudes about the world... then mirror each other. Hardly the kind of character that deserves to stand by Supes.
