How about reading the article? The analyst is from a firm that lobbies for FedEx. The article states that other online shippers benefit and that foreign packages benefit even more from international agreements. And its profitable for the USPS. In short, there is no subsidy.

They are, and Amazon packages get priority over Priority Packages. They even pay carriers to work on Sunday to deliver them. USPS IS IN THE RED. I spent 32 years there. Something shady about that deal. Oh and if you miss a scan you get in trouble.

I've already started to see Amazon delivery vans more often. Perhaps they know that they are going to be getting slapped with a hefty bill from the USPS to continue service.
