Someone rolled and gave them a case on a platter. Agents and AUSAs jump on this type of case because it touched Hollywood, would get instant media coverage, and will then be used in their KSAs for promotions.

Don’t know about that? My kid is a college freshman. Great test scores. Great GPA. No athletics. No acceptances to any UC ‘s. Guess I didn’t get the bribery email?

Did any of these rich elite parents include in their child's college applications that their children had high cheekbones and thus were part native American and deserved to take a space from non-minority applicants?

Yep. For me the only new part about this wasn’t paying (brining) for admission, it was that the colleges were not the sole beneficiary of these payments.
