I've been discussing this with friends and coworkers over the past year or so, but it is extremely hard to break the mentality when I have student debt and a mortgage. I'd encourage anyones advice. The cube farm and debt is modern day slavery.

I see education as a long term, life long invest ment. Housing too. Everything else should be short term debt ie under 3-5 years.

As someone who makes his living outside and with his hands, I will never understand the mentality that causes people to spend so many years setting themselves up to exist in a cubefarm. But then, what do I know?

I work in a (private) cube farm now. Great job overall, pays well, benefits and all. But I’m saving every $$ I can so I don’t have to as soon as possible.
