She’s is a reformist. Not a socialist. It would great if she was actually calling for totally outdated failing capitalism to be replaced with genuine socialism. But she isn’t. She merely wants some reforms applied to the capitalist economy to try to make it a bit less ghastly.pic.twitter.com/WmDpJHADFf

Where is the line between state ownership and collective ownership? Isn't the state representative for the collective? Doesn't the state distribute the goods to the collective? How do the logistics work of everyone (partially) owning everything if not for representation by state?

Because working people already keep the capitalist system functioning. Therefore they can just as easily (in fact, far more easily) work to benefit everyone in a socialist society, instead of working to chiefly benefit a parasitic exploitative asset-owning elite as happens now.

Human behavior alters to fit the prevailing economy. In an economy where people must think and act competitively and ruthlessly for money, that’s what they do. In a friendly cooperative economy where humans can work so all have enjoyable lives, people can then behave that way.

State-run capitalism and reformist attempts to manage capitalism for the majority always fail because capitalism can only be run to chiefly benefit the asset-owning class (otherwise the economy struggles/collapses). That is why, as socialists, we want capitalism ENDED completely.

I don't even want to try and imagine how you got there. Was it the 40% of US produced food wasted while people go hungry suggesting abundance?
