Alita shows you can have a strong female lead without identity politics. Best movie of the year so far. Critics hate it because it lacks identity politics. The audience loves it for that.

And reports are the co-star character who is Alita's love interest didn't turn into a little beta boy halfway through the movie either.
Can't wait to watch it. - 2 more replies

Having a woman that can beat up everybody is a SJW move. It has been going on for too long. It sends a bad message to girls. I will sit this one out too. We need movies with strong virtuous men as heroes. Too many men play video games instead of becoming virtuous fathers.

There is a literal virtuous father in Alita. Dr Ido raised her as his own, and they loved and respected each other. He doesn't want her to fight, but doesn't that apply with all fathers concerning their children?

You buy your ticket for Alita Friday. Walk into the designated theater, sit down, and Captain Marvel starts playing.
