My family members were slaughtered in the Armenian Genocide in 1915. We still haven’t seen a dime of reparations from Turkey. I don’t see why we would need pay for what she’s proposing.

Regarding Armenian Genocide the main question - what's the problem for Turkey to recognize it? As modern Turkey by its constitution has nothing to do with genocide. Turkey has been set up initially as country with no ties whatsoever with Ottoman empire

I came from Italy in 1954. So did the rest of my family. Do we need to pay? LOL!

At 16, my maternal great x 4 grandfather put the number 18 on the bottom of his shoe so he could say he was "over 18" and fight for the North to free slaves. About 640,000 American men gave their lives to end slavery. Is this not enough amends for America's part in slavery?

Both sides of my family didn't come here until the 1880s.
