It's funny...these people never happen upon the racist history of the progressive movement, which is bedded in eugenics, sterilising non-white people and enforcing minimum wage laws to price black people out of the labor market.

"But John Wayne said racist stuff!" They never happen upon the racists in the abortion movement or in the suffragette movement either. Their outrage, as always, is selective...their outrage, as always, has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with politics.
