CNN et al do that to the president on a daily basishttps://twitter.com/AdamBagni/status/1097632918686466048 …

Good way 2 tell if a “news source” you’re seeing is biased, is to examine how info in presented. Ex: No legit journalist would quote someone using word fillers like “um” & “ah”. Unprofessional. Or you can just google Daily Wire & find that it’s a conservative website. #12News https://twitter.com/RealSaavedra/status/1097608963623870464 …

I’ll bite. They do? Example? You should not - unless there’s an actual reason the word filler needs to be included.

I don’t think any of those are CNN people. I could be wrong. But yes, those word fillers should NOT be included. It’s standard practice when quoting anyone really.

Trump certainly says them a lot, perhaps even more then most speakers, Pregnant pauses etc, as long as people keep that standard regardless of party would seem fair

No question- agree. And by the way - just because Trump or Kamala uses a filler or pauses - doesn’t mean they’re stupid or don’t know what they’re talking about. Maybe they just need a second to think? Who knows? That’s why we should leave em out for everyone.

Read this thread to watch two people start out on opposite sides of an issue and find middle ground. Fascinating.
