        We certainly have the authority to decide with whom we are going to deal with or not deal with. We are not the ones creating the turmoil in Venezuela nor are we the ones who turned a fifth of their people into food refugees disrupting its neighbors.

        So the way it was explained to me is that their elections had strong evidence of being rigged. The president of their house, per their constitution, can claim power in case of election fraud or death or whatever. So he has legit authority until real elections can take place
