I have kids- one of them is a young teen. I need more information. My child would have never been disrespectful. I know this boy is smiling and he looks down at his feet. I don’t think that’s something to rip his entire life up, for.

I’ve not seen anything that supports that he even realized that smiling would be seen as disrespectful. However, there could be more to the story. I think this is a pitfall of social media. Is there more to the story?

The first clip circulated made me disappointed in the kid. But when I saw the entire clip, I'm not sure what the kid did wrong (smiling?) I think he was singled out (maybe bcause of hat?) and the man stood extremely too close. Man wanted reaction. Glad kid had restraint.

Joy and laughter are disrespectful and inherently racist
-
When openly mocking someone of a different race and getting joy and laughter off his expense, yeah. It's pretty racist.

Parents/Guardians/Peers, should be leading by example. Adults have to take some responsibility in this.

It was a hoax. They were doing school cheers while waiting for their bus to pick them up. The Indian man got in the middle of them and started playing his drum in their faces.http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=59696&fbclid=IwAR0W1LMQjJ8F6EarDXg_1RSU1CAuJ7jvBhBDZ3Q9ce4OjoexnUk59cjsfcA …
