It sounds crazy, I agree. Saying "we should legalize heroin" is counter-intuitive in my own brain. The fact is, most people said it about weed. Now look. And we already have a system where we restrict access to dangerous drugs so we can regulate. It's not that far-fetched.

Can you provide sourcing for your claim? I'll be happy to read it. My understanding is that local police don't want the job of enforcing federal immigration law. Further, the sanctuary policy encourages witnesses and victims to coming forward about crimes.
