The p.r. push to rebrand weed as a medical wonder has been incredibly successful in changing attitudes about the drug. This despite the fact that, as one pot activist admits, only about 6% of users smoke pot for medical purposes.

According to a 2017 report from the National Academy of Medicine, weed is useless in treating cancer. The report also states that pot has no value in treating dementia, epilepsy, glaucoma, irritable bowel syndrome, Lou Gehrig’s disease or Parkinson’s.

I don’t think anyone thinks it’s “harmless” it’s just not as bad as first thought. We have access to a lot of things that are not 100% harmless.

Weed diminished my dad's tumor when he had nothing else. I was there as it happened. I'm not a pothead and I agree with the article, but marajiuna had been found to cease seizures and treat other ailments. Be balanced and honest on both sides.
