Can other crimes be called behavioral preferences?

They are making a distinction between behavior and attraction...sexual attraction in of itself is not a crime...though most of us find this particular type of attraction repugnant. Acting on this attraction is a crime however, and society rightfully punishes those who act on it.

This was brought up during the same-sex marriage debate. The slippery slope we called it. We were called homophobic for linking the 2. SSM was just the foot in the door for these other groups.

You're right. Unless one acts on this attraction, then no actual crime has occurred. We're talking thought police, correct-think here. That said, when the act happens, the penalty should be death.
