Fascinating and weird wrinkle to the wage gap conversation: Single women, married women, and single men all make about the same amount of money. It's MARRIED men who vastly out-earn everybody else. https://www.stlouisfed.org/on-the-economy/2018/december/married-men-outearn-single-men … pic.twitter.com/tsrYegqVtq

Good point. Another possibility. Could it also be that a lot of married woman with kids have “chosen” their kids & family over careers (priorities)? It’s wrong if they are forced to make this choice but thousands do it because they want to.

This just proves that we married men pour ourselves into work after a few years of marriage, right about the time her 'headaches' increase, the honey-do list grows longer, and we consider the future cost of college.

It is odd, that when you actually study history, even across cultures, some truths become self evident.

Married men most likely need a high income to support a family. Forced to bring in the $.

Assumed causation is backwards. Married men don't make more money because of marriage. Women go after wealthier men. Men with money don't do the same.
