I've been to Buckingham Palace. The stuff in there is admittedly a bit over the top.

It’s not as if the bought it. Their homes are museums filled with beautiful things from history, each with interesting stories. Should we melt everything down and feed some people for one day? Or should we preserve the things for all people to see and learn and think and inspire?
