C’mon Jack!! Die Hard is a Christmas movie for these reasons: 1) The dad is trying to make it home for Christmas to see his kids. 2) It’s full of Christmas songs. 3) “I have a machine gun, ho-ho-ho” reference. 4) and the Grinchy villain who wants to ruin Christmas (Hans Gruber)

Die Hard has some fun Christmas references as a plot device but you really could make it any other time of year and the action movie still works just fine Can’t do that with A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, Rudolph, Grinch, Christmas Vacation etc

Load of crap. Home Alone is the same movie without Christmas too. Just assume the family took a winter trip to Europe. Die Hard - Christmas party, Christmas music, McClane’s whole reason for being in LA...Christmas. Ho ho ho now I have a machine gun.
