I'm going to send my son to school Monday, with my Maga hat! He loves it.

Do the kid violates a school rule. Knows he is violating a school rule but does it any. Actions have consequencesz. The teacher was way out of line and doesn’t belong in the classroom. That doesn’t make the kid ok

School rules no hats in classroom. If that is true the student should have removed. I think it was unnecessary to tell student “particularly that hat” plus calling him an “a-hole.” The teacher was wasting his breath as well as the classrooms time.

In the school that I work at, hats are not allowed to be worn inside unless on special occasions. The student may be in the wrong for not following policy, but the teacher is absolutely in the wrong for calling the student an a**hole. Student should have been sent to the office.

I agree. The school I taught in wouldn’t allow hats in the classroom so it’s possible that is what the teacher was doing. But, name calling is wrong. Taking all of the other kids out sounds a little extreme to me. Just write him up for not doing what he was told to do.

If the school has a no hat policy the young man is wrong and should take his hat off respectfully then sit it on his desk where everyone can see it. The teacher is also wrong. If I had said something like this in the classroom I would have at least been suspended for a day.

Teacher should have realized quickly the student was going the be stubborn about the disobeying rules, and simply sent him to the principals office. Call me old fashioned, but people should take hats off when indoors at a professional setting.
