“On 23 September 2011, President Mahmoud Abbas on behalf of the PLO submitted an application for membership of Palestine in the United Nations. On 29 November 2012, the General Assembly granted Palestine non-member observer state status in UN General Assembly resolution 67/19”

The UN does not grant statehood. The Palestinians allowed the land to grow into a waist-land. the land was owned by large landowners who did nothing with the land. The Jews bought the land from the owners paying a lot more than it was worth at the time. —-
