If you are trying to get sober and all you focus on is alcohol you will never succeed Cut it all out, avoid those situations, cut out people who encourage you to drink (for now), and completely throw yourself in a new direction of family and prayer

It wasn’t always easy Early on I would tell new people I met that I had an alcohol allergy and drinking would make me sick After a while, the very smell of alcohol would actually make me feel sick The spirit-mind-body connection is real Use it

And keep in mind, I was also in the Navy while doing this Through all my years in the Navy Through all my deployments overseas I never touched a drop of alcohol

I’ve also known people who use AA and NA Fantastic programs The people who lead them are American heroes

I’ve known many who couldn’t do it otherwise, did programs, but only turning to God broke it forever. Pleasure isn’t in it. It’s deceptive. Once ppl see that the pull is gone.

Medically it can be dangerous for alcoholics to quit cold turkey. Heart problems, tremors, etc. To promote cold turkey can be irresponsible.

That's great to hear, Jesus healed you, however others do need the strength from meetings and or a rehab , it just like going to service for the fellowship till they are strong enough!
