I got sober 13 years ago today and went cold turkey I didn’t use a program or a product I used prayerful thinking and family I reminded myself God made me for a purpose and that purpose isn’t drinking alcohol I’ve never looked back

It wasn’t always easy Early on I would tell new people I met that I had an alcohol allergy and drinking would make me sick After a while, the very smell of alcohol would actually make me feel sick The spirit-mind-body connection is real Use it

And keep in mind, I was also in the Navy while doing this Through all my years in the Navy Through all my deployments overseas I never touched a drop of alcohol

I’ve also known people who use AA and NA Fantastic programs The people who lead them are American heroes

I commend you
@JackPosobiec My husband stopped drinking a few months before you. June 12th, 2005. Cold turkey. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever witnessed anyone go through and a turning point in both of our lives. CongratsThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Thank you for tweeting this
@JackPosobiec My husband is 33 Years sober. He got sober when he was 20 years old. It's a disease and nothing to be ashamed of. Life for him began at 20 and he has more fun than anyone I know.#SoberLiving#FriendOfBillspic.twitter.com/qzYyp7NutJ
