I knew about the monument, but I didn't know it came from Russia. I always thought it was among the most beautiful, albeit poignant, of all the monuments.

It was actually forecast to do that though. A frontal boundary was sweeping through about 24 to 36 hours before the storm would have made landfall. That picked it up and swept it away. Was known this would happen for a few days.

All the Democrats along with Putin were there too if you look up information about the monument. I guess it was ok then to chill with Putin. It is a nice memorial if you ever get the chance to see it in person.
