Hey Deb, if you remember,it took two bombs to convince the Japanese to surrender. They sacrificed a whole city before giving up.

We can’t judge the world of 80 years ago by today’s standards. At 17, my father gunned down incoming kamikaze planes from his aircraft carrier. I asked him if it haunted him that he was killing people in those planes. He said,“No! I was saving thousands of our own sailors.”
