I've been educating all weekend about this. US Presidents don't bow. It's not lack of respect, bowing shows subservience, and we declared our independence from that 242 years ago.

Surface meaning: bow is to show reverence and respect (oh yeh?). When deconstructed, bow is to bend. Gestures are a language. Is bowing a harmless submission? If so why expect it? Should you inwardly bend to a mindset of authority OVER you? No one should bow to anyone else here.

No one ever wanted him to bow to the Queen. What went down REALLY badly was the disrespectful manner in which conducted himself in someone else's country. She's a 90 year old highly respected woman, FFS.
