There’s always a legal channel vs an illegal channel. When people choose the latter, they are committing a crime, acting with intent. There’s no excuse for it and no explanation with validity that will make it acceptable.

They can always go to the right places in their own country and file for asylum in the United States. They don't have to come here illegally, they want to come here illegally. Besides didn't Mexico offer them Asylum? The question is who's really behind all this? George Soros

No one wants the law to be changed. The right wants the aliens to be returned "as a family" to their home. The left wants citizenship for the aliens "as a family." There is no fix that can resolve the two positions.
