Interesting figure in FCA notice on Lighthouse -which escaped a fine for British steel transfers: 'During the Relevant Period, LAS advised on DB Pension Transfers totaling £655,046,598.26. Of that figure, £126,441,925 (or 19%) represented the sum transferred away from the BSPS'

V.niche compliance question: if a firm has the FCA permission for this firm "may control but not hold client money" - what does "control" mean in that context? answers on the back of a postcard....

Here is a question. If Blackmore's financial promotions were accurate, as Mark Steward said they were last year, why did the FCA remove the permissions of the firm approving its information memorandums?

In this letter the FCA CEO goes to great lengths to maintain why Blackmore was not a scam and was a legitimate investment that was not missold. But then he also says the FCA shared info with the police about it (although human error meant not all info was shared) Hmmmm
