    You can say it was a perfect day to celebrate the completetion of ’s 19th Street rain gardens. The BID was certified LEED Platinum this year partially because of their work converting concrete into sustainable green space.

    This morning I joined residents of Foggy Bottom, commissioners of , and MPD for a walkthrough of the neighborhood to discuss homeless encampments. We need to treat our homeless residents with compassion while we also address trash, health, and safety issues.
